Later we reached Barong Hotel, which we have made reservation through the internet before we came. The security there performed security check as soon as we got down the taxi. Looks like they have enforced security after the blast. Barong Hotel is not a big hotel, but it's very comfortable. Our room is located next to the pool, at night we can still hear the sound of people having fun down there. Our stomaches were groaning after we checked in, so we decided to take a walk down there in town and to look for something to eat.

You can see signs of religion anywhere in Bali.
We walked pass many shops typically dedicated to tourists. You can see shops selling sunglasses, post cards, beads, shuttle bus services, money changers, and of course, pubs all around the area, reminding you that this is a famous tourist attraction. There are still many foreign tourists walking on the street, till you might have a misconception that this is some other place in Europe, or Australia.

View in Legian street.
When you are walking on the road, you'll hear cars beeping from behind. Those are cabs hoping you to hop on to reach your destination. Transport is never a problem in Bali (at least at the places we went), you will meet a lot of people waiting at the road side asking, "Taxi, taxi?"
My friend bought bead necklaces from one of the shops there. They are beautiful. After buying shuttle bus tickets to Ubud for the following day, we finally decided what to eat for our first meal in Bali -- Hotdogs in K-Mart, something like 7-11. The workers there are friendly, listened so patiently for our orders which we keep on changing before we could finally make a decision. The hotdog is delicious, maybe because I'm hungry at that time.

A cute little girl we saw when we just about to leave K-Mart.
After the delicious hotdog meal, we headed to another place.
I'll talk about that in my next post.
Stay tuned.
