Salute

Just came back from meeting a great great friend/senior/sifu. Hmm. If you still remember, she's the one that introduced HOCC to me. My erhu sifu + music mentor. Grateful.

I think she's born with some special cells in her. She has great skills not only in erhu, but guitar as well. I was just excited watching her play guitar just now. Salute. Hmm. If you have a blog or website I'll definitely add it into my 'Salute' list there. Ha.

Conclusion of the day: I still have a long long way to go. Hahaha.. Need to work very very much harder.

p/s: Really thanks for everything.

The night without Score

Just came back from the small performance.

What makes it special enough for me to update my blog after left it idle for so long is that Jo didn't bring her scores (I always rely on her scores, coz I don't have any :D ) So we just played without any scores tonight.

It's been so long since the last time she didn't bring scores. Surprisingly I found that playing without score allows me to be more concentrate on what I'm playing, what to add. Salute to my very great partner Jo for her great yang-qin skill as well.

Nice one. Enjoyed it very much.

p/s: Still unable to play like this all the time. Too bad the songs we know are still very limited.

Music @ Malaysia

added: 20070407

Management

Hong Kong, Hocc Concert trip, Oct 2006

Management is indeed a very tough thing to learn. Especially managing a very limited resource which you always wish you have more. Currently I'm trying very hard to learn how to manage 2 of very limited resources of mine -- time and money.

Everyone has the same number of hours per day. I didn't realize how time flies until I have only a few hours per day doing things I want. Sometimes I even have to plan the time needed to take my bath, eat, and what other things I can do at the limited time left. Pathetic. I guess this is where time management comes in. Have to do everything in the most EFFECTIVE way, like those wise people says. Sometimes it's just so tiring to race with time. Suffocated. Hope there will be some space to take a deep breath in the midst of the crazy chasing time. The good thing about this is that it forces me to learn to plan things ahead, which I never did in the past 22 years. Ha.

The same goes to my money. Limited resource. Ha.. MONEY~~~~ I NEED MONEY~~~~ hahaha.. I will manage you too, Mr. Money.

I will survive.. Spend wise, and plan wise. (Hybernating myself again) I'll grow stronger :D

Wohooo!!

My first post from home! Phew, finally, after > 5 months of working-without-broadband-at-home life. That's a disaster man~ Finally I can do my own stuff at home now. :)

Good news eh. That's why I'm still here although I should go to bed now :D

Happy New Year

Planned to have a post before 2006 ends, wanna conclude my very own year 2006. I tried very hard to squeeze out some time but in the end I only managed to draft 50% of what I wanted to say. Thought will have time to at least finish it by first few days of 2007.. but just SUDDENLY realized half a month has passed.

Why time flies so quickly? I want to do many many things, but I have only so little time. If you ask me how's my 2007 doing so far, I really couldn't remember what I did in the past half month other than sleeping, rushing to work, and work, work, work. Pity. I really hate such long working hours. Haiz. Hopefully this rushing period will end very soon.

Don't want myself to be affected by this stupid working life. There are still some plans I hope I can achieve in this year. Hopefully by the end of this year when I look back at this post, there're at least 50% things in the list can be checked.

- continue to "upgrade" my zhongruan skills by joining concerts.
- improve my musical knowledge and get closer to my dream.
- buy myself a guitar, as a gift to myself.
- resume my drum lesson.
- earn and save more money to chase my dream.
- buy 1 CD per month, listen and approach more music.
- improve my communication skills
- improve IT technical skills
- wake up early, start my day with a warm breakfast and some readings, hopefully self-review as well, before going to work.

Will add in more when I can think of things to add. Haha.

The thing I hope most now is I can have more personal time to do my own stuff everyday. Pray hard.

p/s: Although I'm half a month late, still wanna wish all of you a very happy new year. Guanima bless us all.

無題 Untitled

Returned to the lonely room with a very tired body and hollow mind, my shuffled media player just knew how to make me cry, it played Tanya Chua's "yellow" out of so many other songs in the playlist. It's one of a few songs that will make me feel wanna cry whenever I hear them. I never feel so bad even when I listened to the original version by Coldplay. I'm just so vulnerable to her voice.

A quote from a person who has recently influenced me a lot:the process of growing up is never easy, and it just seems like nobody is lucky enough to be excluded in this process.

Neither do I, but I know I will go through it.

All the best to me.
