Tale of two tails

Here's a nice song to share, from a good friend.

-------

Like many other stories or movies, the popular ones always have continuation, no matter whether you like it or not.

This is the story of what happened to the hare and tortoise after their race. After so many years, they just wanted to find a place to rest. One day, they saw something at the other end of the horizon line. "Island!!!!" They both know that's the place they've been longing for.

The tortoise offered a boat he had. It was an old one, not too reliable judging from its look, but tortoise knew that they can rely on the boat to bring them to their destination. "Don't worry, I've travelled on this boat before, and I will bring along the Magic Adhesive Glue my grandmother gave me. It can mend almost anything." The hare was worried and reluctant to go on board, but since tortoise was confident and assured, he chose to believe tortoise.

They hopped on to a boat and start sailing. The journey was still consider smooth at first. But the further they left the shore, anxiety grows more in the hare's head. Some time ago, he experienced a nasty shipwreck. It was scary, and he will never want to experience the same thing again. Surrounded by water, insecurity grows and grows, but the very blunt tortoise never sense it, or he did smell something's wrong, but he just didn't understand how bad it feels. The tortoise just continue to comfort the hare with the best he can. "We will get there." It didn't really help much.

Not very long after that, they met a bad storm. Strong wind blows, thunder strikes as if tomorrow never comes. To make things worse, cracks started to appear on the walls of the boat. Tortoise was certainly overestimated his own ability to face and fight with the storm. A 3 storeys tall wave hit their boat, and broke the front deck of the ship. This was the worst storm tortoise had ever saw, and he has no idea what damage it could bring yet. But by facing with it face to face, slowly he grasped the features of the storm, learned it better, and figured out ways not fighting with it but to stay survive through the thunderstorm. "Let's fix this boat and sail through the storm!" Tortoise said to hare. They are now closer to their destination. Never did he ever thought of abandoning the boat. They will fix it, and continue to sail to the island.

But the hare found it too hard to believe in tortoise anymore. "You said it's going to be fine. Your boat is strong enough. You have your Magic Adhesive Glue. But look..... " It is just too hard for him to stay on. He jumped off the boat, and swam back to where they came from.

Did tortoise survive alone? Not exactly, the storm is just too strong for him to fight alone.

Where will they be now, if they stayed on the boat that time?
Frankly, I don't know the answer, as the story I have been told stops at that chapter. My guess is they'll become stronger and stronger with every battle they make.
Or maybe very soon after that, hare actually got bigger and faster boats to travel, which he will never need to worry about wind and rain.

As long as they don't lose faith, they will get there somehow.
